Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions outlined herein establish the contractual arrangement between you and Luton Local Cars. By booking a taxi and using our services, you expressly acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms and conditions as presented in this agreement.
Definitions
The terms “Luton Local Cars,” “we,” or “us” denote the service-providing company. “You” and “your” refer to any individual, business, or company engaging in a booking with us.
Booking
2.1 Ensure ample time for your journey, especially for airport transfers requiring timely check-ins. Luton Local Cars is not accountable for delays resulting from inadequate time allocation or unavailability at the specified collection time.
2.2 Select a car size accommodating passengers and luggage appropriately. No assurance is given for excessive luggage. Children, regardless of age, are considered individual passengers.
2.3 Requests for wheelchair accessibility should be made during booking.
Prices & Payment
3.1 Quotations by Luton Local Cars are based on information provided by you. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Material changes to the itinerary may lead to quote adjustments.
3.2 Our quote includes a 45-minute waiting period and airport parking costs. Exceeding this waiting time incurs an additional charge at the standard waiting rate. We may revise services for flight delays but are not obligated to do so.
3.3 Upon accepting our quote, review the booking confirmation for accuracy. Failure to notify errors absolves Luton Local Cars of responsibility for resulting delays or costs.
3.4 Payment methods include cash, credit card, or debit card.
The Service
4.1 Passenger behavior during the journey is your responsibility. Charges may apply for vehicle soiling, damage, or negative impact caused by passengers.
4.2 Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in the car.
4.3 Child restraint should align with height, weight, and age.
4.4 Carrying passengers beyond licensing or insurance limits is not permitted.
Cancellations
5.1 Notify Luton Local Cars promptly for cancellations. Charges apply for cancellations after dispatch, based on the driver’s time and distance.
5.2 Online booking cancellations before dispatch may incur charges.
Liability
6.1 While Luton Local Cars strives for punctuality, we are not liable for losses due to uncontrollable delays. No liability for losses to you or your business exists under any circumstances.
6.2 Luggage is carried at your own risk.
6.3 In case of breakdowns, we aim to provide an alternative vehicle promptly.
6.4 You will not hold Luton Local Cars responsible for expenses arising from omissions or acts by anyone in your party.
6.5 No party can exclude or limit liability for personal injury, death, negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or wilful default, as per applicable laws.
Termination
7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or decline bookings if the vehicle or driver is jeopardized. No refunds for terminated journeys.
Miscellaneous
8.1 Luton Local Cars may subcontract obligations. You cannot transfer obligations or rights without written agreement.
8.2 We may alter terms at any time. Check regularly for updates. Existing bookings adhere to the rates in effect at booking.
8.3 Information is processed under the Data Protection Act of 1988.
8.4 This agreement is the complete understanding between Luton Local Cars and you.
8.5 No third party has rights under this agreement unless specified in writing.
Disputes
Claims or disputes must be made within 30 days of the pickup date. Claims made beyond this period will not be entertained.
